Gundog improvers skill training

Service Description

Suitable for all breeds with foundation gundog skills. This course is designed to progress the foundation skills of your gundog. The course will cover heelwork off lead, sit-stay with duration and distraction, recall increasing distance and distraction, introducing stop whistle and retrieving back to handler with delivery to hand. The aim of this 6-week course is to give guardians of pet gundogs as well as working gundog owners a deeper understanding and knowledge of the skills to train a calm, engaged, focused and happy gundog. Learning for humans and canines happens in stages and are better in some things than others. Learning will be supported with demonstrations, explanations, discussion and excercises. We keep our group classes small to maximum 4 dogs to allow for tailoring exercises to suit the individual dog and handler team. We use positive reward based training method to reinforce desired behaviour from our dogs. Training should be fun and enjoyable.
