This workshop is to help you improve the most important cue that you can teach your dog; recall! For many this works perfectly when the dog is not too distracted but as soon as they are busy enjoying themselves the cue that we have trained no longer works.
The goal of great recall training is that the cue tells the dog to rush back to their owner despite what is going on around them. We want this to happen without them questioning what’s in it for them. This takes lots of practice, understanding of what our dogs might be thinking and fantastic rewards until it is an ingrained behaviour that they just can’t help but respond.

Lead and Listen only uses science based positive training methods to reinforce the behaviours that are desirable from our dogs. Positive reinforcement training is force free, fun and very effective.
Collette has used these methods with great success to train her Labrador Retrievers and has won numerous awards in gundog working tests, a hugely rewarding hobby for her and her dogs, in which they have to work together as a team to get the job done. It fulfills the dogs’ natural drive to retrieve game which makes for happy and content gundogs. She also regularly works at a shoot picking up and competes in field trials, which are the top level of gundog competition.
